I would buy a number of your figures, and may do quite soon! Nice style that cocklegriff is coming out good.

    I've chosen my side.

    Thanks guys!

    Anyway folks, it's update day!

First of all, there are only SIX DAYS left to order your very own Halflings of Hobbleshire, they are doing amazingly well, so grab your order whilst you can!

    http://www.ulule.com/cast_up_the_halflings

Secondly, carrying on with my art project at college, I have a few more paintings to show you!

    The Bayourks attack -

    The Forest Troll's ambush -

And the borderlands of Hobbleshire -

I know they are a bit amateurish, but what do you think?

Right... and then a NEW model!

A bit out the blue this one... after finishing the Cocklegriff, I wanted to do another monster! Now that I have a usable set of wings (those flipping things were a nightmare to sculpt!), so I thought I would do an unusual one - A lammasu!

    WIP -

    What do you think chaps?

Just thought I would post up the non-edited (I put alot of blur in on photoshop to try and simulate depth) versions of the paintings - I apologise for the crap quality of photos of the latter two!

    Cheers!

HEy guys! Glad you like the stuff

There is only ONE DAY left to Pre-Order your Halflings of Hobbleshire... not long now folks, go grab them while you can! Go on... you know you want to

    http://www.ulule.com/cast-up-the-halflings/

Also, a WIP update on the Shedu! (Changed the name... more historically accurate, and sounds cooler) If you are wondering what those scale-like things are - they are crystals of Arcanite ( the magical crystal in Arcworlde) growing out of its flesh. They have so much of it within their bodies that it forms in their hides, and they have potent magical powers! ( Ok ok, its a bit rough, but the fluff needs writing down properly :P )

Oh, and for those who are curious, here is the size of a Death Kiwi compared to a 28/32mm scale human! -

    Whatdya think folks?

    Anyway folks, update day!

First up, some more Warpy artwork!

    The Shedu -

In other news, a brand new model!

In Arcworlde games, there is a terrain feature called "The Forgotten Tomb" - A cave which a character model can explore, with different outcomes depending on a roll of a d6. On the roll of a 2, his/her rummagings for loot awaken the ancient and vengeful spirit of the tomb, A Barrow Wight, who will not only chase them out of the caverns, but will be placed on the board, under the control of your opponent, with a special modifier in combat with the unsuccessful thief!

Eventually there will be a whole force for "The Forgotten Dead", but for now you will haveto suffice with it's ringleader

    WIP!

    And a size comp -

What do you think chaps and chappettes?

I agree! I have a lot of painting to do, but lots of green stuff sitting around. Seeing you being this productive certainly is motivational.

I think it's a fantastic mini'. How long did it take you to sculpt (and over how many seperate sittings)? I'm always impressed with how fast you work! I on the other hand seem to be averaging only a sculpt every 1-2 months so far this year!

TrystanGST - Thanks mate, I'm glad I can be of help! :P

moonmin - It took me about 3 days to sculpt - three sessions of about 3ish hours ( as well as working on other things), so a surprisingly quick model! DOn't you get much time for sculpting? Or do you just like to be extra careful with your models? :P

Anyway folks, here is some quick artwork of a Cocklegriff I did for my college project, and possibly to go into my rulebook! The basic rulebook will have the army lists for the Halflings and the Bayourks in as sample races, and then a small beastary at the back for a few monsters that may frequent the borderlands of Hobbleshire! Thats the plan anyway :P

Just to let you lot know, the Cocklegriff will be up for Pre-Order on the 18th of May, or this Friday. I will be running this straight through my webstore, but the principle will be the same as on Ulule. I will be running it for 2 Weeks, and if I have enough Pre-Orders I will cast it, if not I will fully refund everyone

As well as this, I decided to do another big painting - this time a battle between the Albionnicans and the dread Undead Pirates! -

This painting then inspired me to carry on with a certain old model that has been sat on my shelf gathering dust for months - the undead whale!

    WIP -

Carrying on with the undead, I decided to sculpt some seperate "accessories" for the Barrow Wight, in the form of a sowrd and sheild, if your undead terror was a deadly warrior in life, or to use as counters in treasure hunt quests!

As well as this, I decided to sculpt the barrow which it protects, the remains of it's corporeal form -

And good stuff you're painting all round, mate. Both 2D as well as 3D.

A bit of both! If I'm lucky I can get perhaps 1 - 2.5 in on an evening. Just tough as I have a full time job and when I'm lucky enough to have the time I don't have a proper workspace: I have to make do with the cluttered kitchen table and the terrible lighting it has to offer... When I get on the property ladder my studio will be top of the to-do list!

That undead whale is great! You have a great creative mind keep up the good work mate ;-)

moonmin82 - One of the many trials of the sculptor, finding the time to sculpt! Haha! :P Glad you like the whale mate!

Anyway folks - The Cocklegriff is now up for Pre-Order!

    Click here to Pre-Order yours! - http://www.warploqueminiatures.co.uk...er-cocklegriff

It will essentially be the same system as before - if you "buy" the model you put your name down for a cast when they come, buy two models and you get two casts, and so on and so forth! Once you have made your order you will be updated with all news and whatnot of the casting process, and then given an estimated time of delivery!

    Cheers guys!

Hey guys, glad you like everything!

Anyway... Sorry for the silence, Real Life has got in the way this week, only a week left of the college course, and the only days of sunshine we will ever hope to get in British Summertime

First up, there are still 12 Cocklegriffs left, and only 4 days to go! If I don't get the minimum order of 15, then this model WON'T be cast, so hop to it guys!

Next up, to try and cure my sculptor's block ( It's a recurring thing, like syphilis), I decided to start a new monster model, because Warpy loves 'em!

A Treant, or Tree Man! ( WIP of course) -

Sorry about the black parts where it is difficult to see the detail, I had a bit of an accident with the oven The plan is to have two very distinct species, with the the pieces for both included in the pack - A generic small leaved tree such as elm, and a willow. These will be distinguised by the foliage that each one boasts, and each will have detachable beards - a bushy one for the elmish tree and a long and flowing one for the willow tree. Here is the WIP elm beard -

Watch this space for more to follow!

Oh yes, as well as my other shenanigans, this week I have begun to create the free PDF download version of the Arcworlde rule book...

It's coming along well, and I'm looking forward to seeing what people think!

    Cheers guys!

Hey folks, good news! The Cocklegriff will be cast!

    However, I have more news...

Because there have been so many people asking about the rider for the Cocklegriff, after a suggestion by someone I have decided to try something out, Kickstarter style...

If we can reach 30 Pre- Orders by the 7th of June, I will specially sculpt the Halfling Captain rider, and everyone who made an order will get one for FREE with their Cocklegriff!

Here is the concept art -

What do you think folks? Only 14 more to go, we can do this!

    Cheers!

    - Warpy
