oooooo, good idea! Is got to be something to do with wonderland - watch, cards spades, clubs etc, cats grin, top hat etc

Yes to detailing the cup with Alice in wonderland inspired motif's. Possibly a slightly more adult even risqué feel to them so harmonising the theme of a grown up naughty Alice? So for example the Cheshire cat grin juxtaposed with a bending over Alice picking up some dropped playing cards? Just a thought.........and now for a cold shower lol

started working on the base which includes the mushroom she is sitting on. I showed my second unpainted kit to show how she will be sitting on it. I'm going to do the second version in the more traditional Alice blue dress with white front. It's very early on the shroom, like only an hour or so but let me know what you think.

Great idea, I reckon lots of flowers also. What colour for the mushroom? I would of said red like a toadstool but that's out because the dress is red.

Reverse the colours and do the mushroom blue. Plenty of yellow ones in the cartoon too.

great ideas on the shroom and great pics. I am thinking of a blue shroom or at least thats how I've started it. My thinking was to reverse the colors of the shroom and the dress. I found this picture that I am pretty sure the model was based on. My next version will be based off of this illustration and maybe try my hand at sculpting the other characters in the scene. for what it is worth, when finished I am thinking of naming her "little red wonderland".

made a little progress on her over the weekend. i made some shrooms and put them on the base. Still got a tone to do on the moss and even on her but hopefully get it done sometime next week.

Hi Milosh, Alice is looking great the red sexy outfit is pristine! but I'm really sorry, the shrooms aren't for me. I am thnking more Easter egg than shrooms when I look at this base. Can I check if you are going for a more cartoon/psycadelic style with the colours? if so then I think you are on the right track, if not I think the colours might benefit from toning down a bit as they are drawing my eye away from Alice a lot.

Great idea, just not quite working for me personally yet. Very excited to see how this turns out though and I applaud you pushing the imagination on this one!

Lovely composition and beautiful paint job on Alice huba huba. I realy like the way you've done the grass on the base all the different sizes of tufts and tones in the colours are spot on. Only thng is the little shrooms, the big one no problem likey a lot but the little ones hmmm ...nope look wrong. There a bit too shiny and I think they would benefit from a bit more weathering and depth.

Oh just noticed the cards...nice touch!! Err I'm looking but I can't see your little signature rag doll thingy ma bob were is it?

great thoughts guys and excellent input. The shrooms kinda bug me too. I do want it to be more cartoony but you're right Willdorling & Andy , they draw your attention away. I need to tone them down and make them more subtle. Excellent excellent input, thak you very much for the honesty. Ok, back to work on her.

the colours on the small shrooms are way out on a line when it comes to colour theory. i´d use turquise, bronzeish tones, purple and dulled down magenta. all of them darker than these. love the mini itself, but the small shrooms indeed look a bit messy and wierd. the shape is a wee off aswell, look like small balls rather than mushies, perhaps if we could see more of the stalks and perhaps the "skirts"?=)

After the excellent feedback I have toned down the shroomies and gave them a warm bronzey tone. I am also working on toning the grass color down too. I think this looks better, what do you guys think? It's easy to change the colors so if you have some better ideas I would love to hear them. I've got my local figure show the first weekend of June and I want her to look spiffy for it. Thanks for the help.

Yes muchos better. One last thing I would do a tiny tad more work on the big shroom; the white scales need a tad more depth also I would add some little flowers to the grass other than that your good to go
