Thread: Supply Card Question

    Question Supply Card Question

i had a question which didn't seem to be clarified anywhere else.

included in the deck of cards are water, rice, etc. in most scenarios, these do nothing, as far as I can tell. should they always be shuffled into the deck? do they provide any benefit?

They are used as objectives in a few scenarios. Other than that they're filler for when you get hit by a zombie. I shuffle them in every time. (Makes searching more random as well.)

Yeah, I do the same as Groundchuck. They're useful as something to throw away when hit rather than losing your dual SMGs, Chainsaw, Shotgun, or whatever other shinies you were hanging on to. It also means that the Aaaaah!! cards are a smaller proportion of the item deck since having them in makes the item deck bigger. So yeah, they sorta have a use even when not specified but scenario, but if your inventory is at 5 cards and one or more of them are supply cards when you don't need them? Feel more than free to toss those to the wind.

What do you guys do when the supply deck is exhausted? Do you shuffle the discard and use that as a new supply deck? Or is that "it"?

Never exhausted the supply deck, but yeah, I would re-shuffle it and allow searching to continue.

I'd reshuffle, especially since otherwise you could hypothetically end up in an unwinnable situation due to losing all 3 of a given supply (rice, water, or canned food) and were unable to exhaust the deck and search again. If that did happen you'd likely be pretty screwed due to the sheer volume you'd have to search, but better to have hope I guess.
