    Default Spawn Mods for #s of Players

    I played last weekend alone, then with a friend. He was surprised that there was no modification for fewer survivors or ways to tweak the difficulty.

    Does anyone have any systems in place for the Abomination set w/all of the extra figs & cards?

    Rotating spawn points.

    That is, rather than spawn at all spawn points every turn, you only spawn at a few of them when playing with less than 6 players, but each turn the spawn point at which you start spawning moves round the board one spawn point.

    So, for example, if you have a map that normally has 4 spawn points - N, E, S, and W - and you decide to only spawn 3 spawn points per turn, on turn one you may spawn at N, E, and S, then on turn 2 at E, S, and W, turn 3 at S, W, and N, turn 4 at W, N, and E, and so on.

    This will reduce the overall number of zombies spawning each turn, whilst keeping the rough distribution of zombies around the board over multiple turns about the same.

    If it helps, the contest page recomends using 3 spawns to start with and then 1 more spawn for every two survivors over 4. Perhaps try using that formula to figure it out.

    A good idea, but since there are scenarios with fewer (or more) than 4, that's not quite as useful. Plus, which one do you remove? I like Scrop's rotating spawns more to avoid changing the game like that...
