Default Coming back to the hobby and first official submissions.

    Greetings everyone,

I have been painting off and on for much longer then I am willing to admit, after a 7 year break I finally picked up a brush again and started on a few minis and now find my self hooked again. (only thing I will admit to is my first mini that I still have has a date stamp of 1079 on the bottom of it. I must say that the quality of miniatures has improved immensely during my break and I look forward to getting into some of the newer stuff.

Here are my first two completions in a long time, after looking at the photos I know two things for sure, I need to find my can of dullcote, and need to learn how to use the macro function on the camera.

This is a rackham mini that I found in a junk box at a local hobby store, I have no Idea who the mini is though:

Neat stuff, I would suggest pushing the highlights and shading on both though

Freak thansk for the kind words, its amazing that when you take a photo you can see 500 things you would do differently that you cant see with the thing in your hand.

Yeah, photographing always shows everything, doesn't it?

    Welcome back to the hobby.

I think contrast is the biggest thing you should focus on. Also, if you could find a matte varnish (such as dulcoat) you'll be pleased with the result, I think.
    Here is my ranking:
