    Shawn; Many thanks man.
That really tickled my "Brass Goggles" side.
Brass mechanism, motion, sound and age. Classic Steampunk appeal.

Abbbbbsolootly. Intricate brasswork with that 1800's look really twirls my propeller. These things are cool too -

Oh my goodness, an Orrery and the Time Machine, at this time of the morning.
I think I need a stiff cup of tea.

This has probably been posted before but if you haven't seen it, check out the Corpus clock at Cambridge uni. An amazing piece of engineering and truly beautiful. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...shire-13130523 It incorporates a monster type thing too, so should appeal to this crowd
Well, here it comes... here comes the sound... the sound of confusion

I've never considered myself as being into cogs and things, but that orrery was pretty dang cool. I think I may have just felt the first tug at my steampunk string...

Here's a thing by a guy from Holland. Most of his stuff is wind powered.

As amazing as that was, I also found it quite disturbing, I think it was the way the legs moved....if that had some eerie red lights as eyes and came walking towards me in the dark, I think I would probably shit myself.

Okay, I can see there is a person under there pushing it. The leg movements are remarkable. And -- GAH! I think I agree with Talion.
