Thanks Tee for the kind words and following along.

Although I said that the birds would be too much, I have to hand it to you: it looks awesome!!!

Just a thought: it would be cool if you add a blossomed bonsai to the base, a cherry tree perhaps.

Thanks guys for commenting. believe me, I thought long and hard before I dove in on those cranes and was a little worried they would be overkill too. It turned out that the kimono really needed the pop of another color because all of the others were so similar.

All the freehand looks great. I think it was a smart choice to give the clothing underneath the kimono a simpler pattern. Not too much more to do. Looking forward to seeing this one up in the gallery.

I have nothing constructive to add, so I'll just quote Bailey.

Thank Bailey and Trystan, she is getting close. I am going to use Alexandra's idea and add in some flowers to the base, I also think I have a little bonsai tree somewhere in my spares.

here is a little work I got done on here last night.

Seeing it all together is very impressive. I love the lacquered finish on the haft.

Looking really good! I do think her left eye is a bit strange positioned in comparison with the right one. Further it is really impressive with all the freehanding!

Thanks guys! Blaze, you are correct about the eye, I think there must have been a mold shift because her eye is off. There is also more evidence of this because there is a big shift seam in her hair I have to address. It is very unusual to have such errors from Pegaso.

Bright vibrant and well executed paint job the colour scheme is spot on. Shame about the slippage but these things happen even with good ranges. What's next?

Thanks for stopping by Andy. I can't decide on the next one yet but it is between finishing LRRH or starting the new Scale75 steam wars girl.

Here is what I got done last night. I added on the rest of her hair and started adding some little fish to the water feature in front of her. Still lots of layers to go on the water feature.

you are seeing it correctly but it isn't an accident or even resin, it is acrylic still water. It is an old Japanese trick to wet down a display garden so it shines and deepens the color of rocks and foliage.

Dammit, Milosh. I didn't subscribe to a thread titled "Pin-Ups and Hot Chicks" in order to learn stuff!
