Would love to see one of these articles about Teknes. My friend has been scratching his head on figuring out how to use his Teknes force effectively.

A question about this came up in our games last night: how does Strong Will work in conjunction to being the target of a Will Attack?

Does it mean a defender with the ability can force the attacker to re-roll his dice to prevent a hit?

    Certs:

Yes, if you have Strong Will and are the target of a Will Attack, you may force the attacker to re-roll 1 die.

Thanks for the clarification, that's what we thought was intended but weren't quite sure since it was the other player rolling the die instead of the player with the strong will ability.

Please dont read into my words that i am trying to be over negative though. I'm just really enjoying this far more than I originally thought. The OP post was an awesome read imho and I just want to see other factions get the same sort of treatment. I was lucky because Hadross was my faction of choice, so it helped a ton! There could be other factions that people are interested in but, because of the lack of info, they could get dropped. I really like Shael Han and Teknes too, but my mind melts when I try and work out the details on the shael han cards, so im going Hadross and Teknes for now, as their learning curve is simpler than the others. So its a great chance to get the basic rules locked in, with a hope that some youtube or self help faction guides become available.
Im currently playing a few games and gathering as many questions as possible, so I can list them all in one go, as opposed to creating lots of threads and making things messy, hehe.
Got a game against my mates Nasier and have a shark list or a pork chopper list with Taur and Ironward!
I didn't take it as negative. You've always been a pretty straight shooter Mick, whether it has been here, WWX forums or Beasts of War.
I agree that the ease of playing this game is what makes it so fun. The losing 1 moral each round, gives you that, each turn is getting closer to the end feel.
I just gotta get the base inserts so I can use my Goritsi. Those 4 blood engines want to feed ;p

Losing 1 moral each round is not part of the rules anymore!

Yeah i just double checked and it isn't anymore, I remembered the rule from when i demoed it and from youtube vids. I actually liked that rule, but can see where it could rush the game when mixed with motivations. I might keep that rule for intro games though to teach the basic mechanics before adding motivations.

Yeah WWX was a great ride as we both know.
I have to admit to reading my comments back to myself once posted, does sometimes come across too harsh though tbh. Sometimes a strong case of honesty with a complete lack of ability to write clearly does cause a few problems. Hehe. So its nice to know some people understand my shortfalls and make a general asumption im just being crap at stuff. :P I have to say, 4x Blood Engines seems like a huge task to take down! Ive not even fielded my Octopus of doom yet, let alone 4 of them. Is this going to be your main force makeup? Or just toying with the idea? No pun intended.
I know Derek suggested multiple specialists like this the other day on Facebook amd ive seen a few photos of pledges that have contained 4x Greathorns.... ouch! As an Hadross player, I like to take the motivation, Remove the head, as this allows the enemy tonbring me the objectives. These can be placed on leader or specialist, so with 4x HUGE specialists, would you feel a little exposed? Or is there a motivation that supports yoir force makeup Digclaw?

Ive got a game planned for tuesday where ive built a Greathorn for a mate to use against my Octodoomsucker. Ibe really liked using my crabs though tbh. Against resonated targets, they get a 4 dice attack, which is great for a rank 1 specialist. I would love to have 8 in a force! Its just a pity they cant combine activate in order to get all my models to activate in a round. Omnomnom

Goritsi is the Universal Monsters faction, Vampires Werewolves and Frakenstein's monsters. It is just a no brainer for me. ;p

Right now I'm working on my Nasir and my single great horn. Mt buddy is playing Hadross, He doesn't have the hungry tenticle yet, so I probably won't use my Great horn against him yet.

I was discussing this with some of the play-testers who also really loved this rule. I found that the moral goes down very fast otherwise and we'd have to start with a higher moral, also I think that it balances this more and does not tax you so hard for playing a good deal of Rank2 specialists. I'd love to see this rule come back in specific motivations that had to do with a time constraint, like "midnight run" or something where you have a time sensitive task!

I agree. Loved this rule. Even though it made games quick it meant you had to move you couldn't huddle up...gave the game a certain amount of pressure on both sides...wish that instead of ditching the rule they increased game times by either giving certain game sizes a bonus morale amount to both sides or increased the morale gains and losses for number of troops so the one a turn put pressure on but wasn't debilitating.

    One question:
For trigger ability of deepmen and make a will check to give resonate at opponent, need engaging ( or make in cc). For engaging need stay in contact?
If an opponent move in cc then attack with a melee atk at range 2, i cant trigger ability?
