    Quick question in Spearhead there are fixed guns, can these be placed only in your deployment area or can they go anywhere. Only asking as if they are for deployment zone only then they will be next to useless ?

    Yep. The official answer is deployment zone. Which is useless unless in a scenario, where it is fixed before hand. We often play with them being deployed into your territory.

    I used to think so, too. It really depends on the scenario. In scenarios where the deployment zone is on the back edge of the territory, they are not very effective. However, scenarios with deployment zones in the center or front of a territory could really benefit from turrets. The Slammer and Cyclops plugs have a range of 3!

    If you are the Blight in Defense of Hill 356, on your first turn, drop a couple of turrets with der Cyclops plugs in the fourth deployment zone, which is within range of both SOs. It may not help take the SO, but it will clear them out really quick.
