Default First post with uncle honk and other painting

    Hi chaps,

just joined the forum, recently got into the game and have started painting my figures.

first survivor and zombivore I've done is Uncle Honk, hoping I can get it to post correctly.

Are you really painting a figurine a day? If so, you are fast and on a roll...

    Thanks DevKat,

pretty much, I get painting time every day and have loads of projects on the go at any one time, so I usually manage to finish a few figures everyday spread across zombies, supers, post apocalyptic and fantasy.
im hoping to finish the 'Leon' figure today or tomorrow

Just finished Lucius in human and zombie firm. Sadly it's a bit underwhelming, I think due to how static the survivor model is and
the basically all black colour scheme. I had to paint him though as I'm a big fan of 'Leon'

I wasn't happy with how the mustard turned out on my first hotdog guy.

it just looked a bit flat, which is why I didn't put any on the other three. Then I had a brainwave, 'puffy paint'!

its used normally to make relief in fabric painting. I thought I'd get some yellow and some red to use as mustard
    and ketchup.

once applied and allowed to dry I painted it as normal. This is the result,

Huge difference. I really like the style you use, it really suits these minis.
