All finished with this fiery fellow. Great sculpt that worked with me the whole way.

Amazing work SaintToad, such subtle and smooth gradation between the light and dark parts.

OSL is looking great. I like especially the view of the left eye.

Excellent work on the OSL Toad, really love it - oozes oil paints to me as i mentioned on Insta to you.

That's a Maxime Penaud sculpt isn't it? Secret Workshop, who won the slayer sword last year? Its a beauty and one I've had on my to do list....so much character. (in fact I might go and order it now...)

Lockdown is clearly treating your painting mojo well!

Thanks, guys. Hairster, yes, it is a Secret Workshop sculpt from 2008. I’ve had it for years but just realized that as I set down to paint it. I intend to buy one or two more, because I think it’s a great sculpt, lots of fun, quick, and inexpensive.
And yes, lockdown has been pretty much fine with me. My little girl sleeps mercifully late and I get a lot of painting done in the morning.

The Dino head looks great, that red/green + off white combination sets it up very well.

Time to completion over my last three projects has dropped from a month and a half to a week to two days. Should be down to a half hour or so soon, I reckon. Here is the T-rex.

    Better pics over on ToadChapel.

Really nice work on these last two pieces. That OSL really looks nice and that T-Rex head is looking great!

I’ve been working on this post apocalyptic bust from FeR for the last week. I guess the end of civilization is just sort of on my mind...
Still lots left to do, but I can finally see him coming together.

Well, perhaps no one is interested, but my ‘Wanderer’ bust is finished and up on P&P. Here’s the link. You can also read some of my thoughts on painting him over on my website. Hope everyone is healthy, happy, and hobby rich!

Really great job on this latest bust ST! The leather bits are looking very nice.

Nicely painted, I like the leather too, the light blue is a nice contrast.

Thanks very much to both of you. The larger scale was a challenge (although the Zaba bust I did maybe 2 months ago was probably the same scale, it was a much smaller piece overall). Still, it was a beautiful model and I had a great time wrestling with it. I’m glad you like the leather, as that was an area I had identified as something to practice with that bust.
Anyway, on to the next thing! I started a little Norman warrior bust.

Thanks fellas. Glad you like it. I tried hard! He’s done, so let me know what you think. I tried for an hour to take some decent pics, but it was a wash out. I truly suck at it. If I get some good ones I’ll throw them up on my blog and P&P and give you the links. For now, here he is hanging out on the back patio.
