Thank you, friends. I finished Road Girl off yesterday, making her likely my final mini of 2020. As much as I love the ruddy skintones and wrinkles on your last couple of pieces,
this is almost more impressive - I find drawing females a lot harder than males, because they have less edges
So painting skin this smoothly, yet not flat and featureless, but full of colume, that takes a lot of skill.

Thanks a lot, Chris. You’re right about painting female subjects. They require a lot of discipline and adjustments. I talked a wee little bit about that on my ToadChapel post. Really glad you like her.

Cheers guys. Appreciate all your comments. I’ve been painting a pretty good amount, but still have a ways to go on Conan. You jump out early with the skintones and it looks like you’re nearly done, then spend hours and hours trying to address all these little details all over the model. Anyway, I’m getting there.
