Looks great Toad, the whole sketchy chiaroscuro lighting thing you have going on on the door is very interesting.

Led me back to your page again and your Lovecraft Textual Innuendo post....lovely insight into your passions.

You should check this out sometime if you are in the need of some background noise,

    Eric Zann - Ouroborindra
    https://ghostbox.co.uk/catalogue/ouroborindra/

It's from the Ghostbox record label in the UK that specialises in odd, slightly off centre mainly electronic recordings. (think a weirder version of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop) This is by one of their main contributors under the alternative name of Eric Zann (which I believe is a reference to a Lovecraft short story). Its not necessarily an easy listen...but its right up my street. Think some of it is available on youtube....makes sense to listen to it in one piece though.

    Keep the updates coming!

Yes time for grime- everybody gather round the lamp fire as uncle toadie spins us a tale of creepy fish sticks and filled up fish men!!!
Great job. Always love the lovcraftian reference.

Thanks so much, friends! It really means so much, as you all know.
Hairster, I can’t wait to give that a listen. Your description has me most intrigued, and you probably know I like to tailor my music to my project- you can’t do grimdark to birdsong! I really tried something different with the
chiaroscuro. I pasted that word rather than try to spell it. I think it ended up both too rough and too great a stylistic departure from the rest of the piece to work perfectly, but I think I’d like to try the idea out in some other contexts. I do not like the enamels over the top. They look ok, but I would have been better off painting the water damage on. Pretty much stuck with it now, though, since it’s enamel.
BaM, have you ever seen this painting? I saw it years ago in one of those Spectrum books that rule so damn much.

I’ve wanted to do a riff on this for a while. I’ll bet they got creepy fish sticks on the menu!

Big fat Winter break coming up... even with a little bog imp running around, I should have some serious hobby hours ahead. There are too many projects I’d love to devote myself to:
~ Continue building up DA Kill Team (conversions & painting)
~ Build bonkers board for Kill Team
~ Work on some more of those little environmental vignettes (maybe with some snow or something else new for me)
    ~ Big boy painting
~ Paint a KT of Grey Knights for my friend.
    Hope you’re all doing well.

Eldritch Elf is finished! If anyone’s feeling generous with a vote or a comment, I’d appreciate it.

Well unless it's to the sound of Whipowirls in which case it's just fine

Here you go, Kuribo. This post is more about some kitbashing ideas than major conversion, but I think you’ll find it interesting.

Gilman House is on its way to Australia! My thanks to those of you who voted & commented.

Yay! I look forward to giving it a read later today. I have been enjoying your posts as you already know I'm sure! I went ahead and gave Gilman House a couple votes as well. Really great stuff and I look forward to seeing your future projects as always!

Thanks for the recommendation. I listened to the whole album and definitely feel it has its place as mood music. It reminds me of early Faust a bit.

Here are a few more conversions coming down the pike. As always, there’s a lot more in the Chap.

Damn, Andy, Cthulhu got so much moves!
Ok, we’re now opening the thread to Lovecraftian music recommendations. Here’s a Great Old One from France. Excellent for getting into a weird headspace.

Glad a few of you apparently endured the sonic onslaught of Shub Niggurath. If you really want to, ahem (since mine is now apparently the swearing thread) shit your pants, give this a listen.
Ten, I just finished him up about an hour ago:

I wanted a real strong upward sweep to the pose. I’m aiming for a final gaze like this. That little guy is probably my favorite mini I’ve ever converted & painted. I’m trying to tell a story of a long and bloody conflict in which the marine has overcome his demonic enemy, and now rapturously adores the God Emperor. We stare back at him, and protect him by our wisdom, power, and well-timed rerolls.
