It’s the incredible originality you’re bringing to this metal that makes it so special. That and, you know, how freakin good it is!

Thanks everyone....still working on this one slowly. Me and the pilot fell out, I painted him up but wasn’t happy with my paintwork or the fact that he looked a bit clunky sat there at the front.

So I started to put together a canopy using some miscellaneous plastic stuff and some bits from the alternative weapon. This kind of brings it more in line with Forgeworld bomber variant and still fits over the pilot so works scale wise as well. Still WIP but a lot happier with how this looks.

You’re crushing this one. It looks completely awesome. The little conversion is spot on.

Nice conversion! The 3 asymetric lenses look spot on. And of course I'm just in awe of your paint job...
I'd love to see the pilot though, even though you may not be happy with it. Any photos?

Wish I were better skilled with words; I'm simply amazed at what you've been doing on this!
    Keep it coming!

Sorry Gorb the pilot is well and truly entombed in the cockpit now...he wasn’t a pretty sight though....

Think ahead to presenting this now so have started some base ideas - Supersculpey rock formations bakes in the oven and then mounted to a standard GW flyer base and an hour or so’s painting. Waiting on a wooden plinth base and some supplies for the mounting solution I have planned...will have to see how it works out....

Thank you for asking but I don't do commissions.

    Thanks Ten, CC and Gorb.

Still making progress on this...working on a mounting system that uses the beam for the weapon to support the flyer in as discreet a way as possible. For that to work I needed an effective blast for the beam...tried a few solutions that didn’t work out and finally settled on keeping it simple with shattering rock and some OSL

That's some top level weathering there, and the base looks great.

I've been following your progress on Insta, Hairster and I love seeing each update for this project. I have run out of superlatives to describe your work for quite some time but I sincerely think this is one of your best projects ever. The creativity and execution are immense! In my eyes, this is Golden Demon winning work! Keep up the fantastic work!

So the title of your thread caught my attention because like you were two years ago I am just returning to painting minis again after some 20 years. If I can come close to your progress in the past two years I will consider myself a successful hobbyist. Thanks for giving us old guys something to aim for.
To the point how did you get such a great copper oxidation? I have a copper Dragon I've been trying to achieve the same pattern but I just can't get it down. Any guides you used or suggestions?
