Oh and thanks everyone, pleased you like what I've been up to. More Hive Tyrant updates to come now I have everything primed and filled

Time to post up some pics of my Golden Demon winners challenge piece that I finished back at New Year and sent in to the White Dwarf team.

The brief was a 40k themed model on a 60mm base - based on the theme of ‘The Witch’. We could request any reasonable amount of models to work with which we received back in November/December of last year.

The model was converted from various Tech Priest components, some Tzeentch summoner, Nighthaunt Lady Olynder, a couple of necromunda Cawdor bits and the Alchomite stack kit that I converted into the open stasis pod at the back.

If I’m being honest I struggled to motivate myself for this and there were definitely some areas I could have worked more on given time...great opportunity though that I didn’t want to miss.

My piece should be in the August White Dwarf I’ve been told along with the other entries.

That's gorgeous man, I love the atmosphere you've created. I can totally picture the capsule landing with a bang and him floating out of the wrecked pod.

Just wanted to let Hairster’s admirers know that he’s written a detailed tutorial on his fantastic oxidation technique, which we saw on full display on his recent Necron warship. It’s a three-parter, but you can get started here. Thanks, bud!

Love that tech shaman, by the way. Cool conversion!

I agree with khavor, this is an awesome piece of work! I would love to be able to achieve with full motivation what you seem to be able to pull of with less than that
And thanks for the tutorial you posed on SaintToad's site, very detailed and helpful

Thanks CMON! Lots going on so have not had time to comment much again...

Joce - yes that was the concept, a long buried containment capsule holding a magic corrupted mechanicus that had been accidentally opened , releasing its contents into the world.

Everchosen model update....working slowly away at this one.

It’s got the luminous Hairster look. Beautiful tones!

Wow, that mottled white is superb! It is almost (I say almost) a shame it pulled my attention away from the beautiful blue shading underneath.
    But only for a second
