I agree Meph anything I’ve ever won with has had decals tactfully place and weThered into the surrounding areas. My tanks with freehand have not placed.

Nice to see the finished set of photos Hairster. Spiteclaw is my personal favourite of the set, but they are all outstanding.

Nice and congrats again! That last guy is my favorite. Was this a official GD like the big one once a year! Was there a slayer sword?

Yeah was GD classic (the big annual one)

Slayer sword was won by Angelo di Chello for his Horticulous Slimux (he won gold in 3 categories iI think)

pics of the slayer winning piece is on the GD site https://golden-demon.com/

Thanks everyone, very kind as always.

Arkaan definately pointed you in the right direction with the paint holders Meph, they are magnetised to lock them together and need assembly with wood glue. I have a few of their wall mounted racks too as the paint collection grows! I'm fortunate enough to have a dedicated space in one of our bedroom wardrobes for my workstation which I can shut the doors on at the end of a paint session and keep the mess tucked away....these definately help though as I'm generally bloody messy.

Onto new stuff then.... I’ve started my Seraphon Carnosaur and one of the new Iodoneth Deepkin models.

Both are at the experimenting with texture/finishes stage currently....pushing myself in a different direction again looking at skin patterns and treatments to keep things interesting...may aim these for the rearranged AOS GD at the end of June if time permits and I'm happy with the outcome. (I've got the taste now!)

The scaled bit is a spare bit from the Iodoneth kit, giving me a chance to try some stuff out before I take the plunge on the main model. I've already painted and stripped this a few times trying different stuff out.

I put the rats up for voting as well -

Voted buddy. Is that scaly piece off of the mounted hero character they have? It is the only model in the entire range that tempted me somewhat.

Yeah its the Akhelian King kit...its the only one I was really into as well.

Thought it might provide some interesting opportunities to do something a little different. Just need to perfect my scale treatment now...I've tried metallics and flat colours so far...will keep at it till I find something that works. At some point I'm just going to have to take the plunge so I can see it on the whole model.
