Wow; thanks very much, I wish I'd had that yesterday but I think that as I am not casting it I can duplicate most of the detail. How long is the weapon? I need to increase the length by at least a third to make it for the Imperator.

Oh, and welcome aboard; you've been a great help to me.

    Side By Side:

While measuring up the Sunburst Annihilator I compared my two scratchbuilts for size and relative scale. Overall I am pleased that my Lucius Warlord isn't very overshadowed.

Not so with my Scratch Lucius or Chaos Warhound. which decidedly toylike in comparison.

This low angle view looks vaguely distorted and someday I'll take pictures with a more neutral background.

And finally a group shot with my scratch built Thunderhawk overhead I'm missing only four of my other home made projects.

A Lucius Reaver conversion kit and three Baneblade main battle tanks.

Great progress, BA! The legs look well proportioned, and the gun mounts are looking nice and solid.

Hmmm a critical thought maybe. After looking at the 3D render a bit closer, themount axis looks adequate, but perhaps a bit bigger might be better. A larger radius for increased strength, and perhaps some armoured end caps? I wonder where the pitch action is generated; in the mount, or in the gun itself? After all it's a huge, and immensely heavy weapon that needs swift and stable movement. So the beefier the pitch mechanism, the better...?

It's not a problem. The gun mounts are perfectly adequate as they are and then some. Everything I have built so far can stand twice what stress/weight that it will ultimately have to bear.

For nothing more than cosmetics I shall be adding a lot of bulk to the gun mount yokes, the pelvis block, the hips, thighs, and anywhere else that appears to need more mass.

Figure much of what I have built so far as just the skeleton.

Just to bring you up to date the above images are a repeat of a previous posting. But now we are fleshed out and contoured.

I just finished rough sanding today and I'm not even sure if the contours are symmetrical.

An hour with a belt sander has brought me to this point.

Dedication and skill man! You are amazing. I really need to work on the dedication aspect I so often get to the 80-90% and don't quite finish. Keep up the good work!
