Both projects look cool. I like your color experimentation of late. Did you huge Nurgle diorama play a role in setting you on this colorful course?

SaintToad - Glottkin was started over a year ago but it grew and grew and grew as I got more confident in my techniques.
The Infected bust has been inspired by my course with Alfonso Giraldez. His colour theory course is immense hence I used so few colours on this piece, all mixes big and throwing caution to the wind. It only took me 7 hours from start to finish.

Cool, I remember now your mentioning your course with Giraldez. Do you have any goals in mind as you seek to apply his ideas, or are you just experimenting with self-imposed limits, atmospheric ideas, etc.? I really like the bust, by the way! Very impressive for only 7 hours of work.

I am currently looking to play with atmosphere a lot more. Savage Beauty is another big leap of that direction and hopefully will be finished soon. So many ideas though but I see a serious bust next.

Very interesting! I need to try that at some point ^^
May I ask which colours did you used as primaries? (brand and name I mean)

The tubes are the heavy body variety. Oops, just realised - don't include the flourescents. I did however use Vallejo flourescent green. It is a great colour to mix into the highs on skin tones.
there should also be primary blue in a tube.

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I am still somewhat amazed, I've gone from a table top painter to placing at GD in about 3 years. I would never have thought that possible.
so to all those who don't think you can, if I can do it then anybody can.
