last mod before bed tonight. I think this balanced the composition a bit, classic Frazetta triangle- above and below.

I got around to getting some color on another project. I swear I won't start any more minis until I get a couple done! Anyway, this one was already started! Here we have Reapers Slithe Handmaiden. My primary artistic endeavor is airbrush art. As for using on minis, I've only used it for primers and topcoats. As I have quite a few airbrushes, and a couple of the (IMHO) best brushes for fine detail, I decided it was time to start using those tools for minis more.
Progressing on other fronts as well, no pics yet though!

I dig that base for the barbarian, the skull tree is super cool.
First time I hear about Frazetta's use of triangles, I'll be looking at his stuff with new eyes now, thanks!
Thanks gorb.
A little "life" thrown into the barbarian base...

I love this base, really nice work.
The skulls and river of blood running down from the tree looks sweet. Going to be a great base.
Haha, now we're talking! That blood looks awesome, the rich red really contrasts with the desaturated ashen tree + skulls.
hmm. I said I wouldn't be starting up new stuff! LOL!! I had some time the last few eves and wasn't up to painting for one reason or another. I needed to do something and inspired by a bunch of James Wappel videos, I based, and based. I started a Reaper bones fig as well. Partly so I could test out a few things and also cause she is a cool fig. I also wanted to paint one because I felt myself "snubbing" the Bones minis in my mind and realized that I am in no way in a place to to be too elitist about such things (and hope never to be). So I felt would be good for the soul to do one up well.
So here's some pics:
I got this idea and had to get it out of my head, All "sculpt", airbrush and wash only so far. Saving the figure and details for down the road... exited about it though!
bones chick
Other stuff as well=Barbarian w/o a name has his metal reprimed and based for NMM. Thor got some work, his base has been getting improvements as well. Another base, simple really it's small and an excuse to paint a little marble soon.
Work just slowed down so it looks like I have most of the next week off. Going to be a lot of updates coming.

Not sure exactly where you’re headed with it, but I like the idea of using polyhedral dice in a little (presumably) rpg-themed scene.
Thanks Toad, not too sure where I'll take it either honestly. Thinking stone for the dice. The fig is shooting her bow back toward the "field". I don't think I want another full character back there but something will have to be, perhaps some wabbits. ps thanks for your tutorials, turkey tails going on my skull tree!

Nice basing! Curious to see what you do with the dice
Thanks Eki and coyote! I have some ideas for the dice base, we'll see where they go.
I have been bouncing around so many projects and really only getting a little done here and there on each. Time for me to FOCUS. I finished up Thor's base. I need to spend more time on the figure. Not real high on my priority/interest level atm.
Here's some thor pics.:
Thanks for looking. I think that I'll focus on my Ky-Ra. and or the Barbarian next, But there's also the Minotaur and his base... I haven't mentioned them, have I?

I mentioned the -taur. was going to go with gold NMM. For the sake of contrast it will be changed to steel.

Nice work! I really like the colors you painted under the snow (on Thor) to give it that icy/cold feeling! And I really like those colors on the "taur"
Thanks again Eki!
I've been working on Ky Ra, like I should be.... and, while I worked on her I also learned how to paint with pastel dust as well. I used some pastel sticks I had and scraped 'em with my utility knife, since I don't have pigments (and that's what the pastels are anyway, right?). So here's the results, on top of primer highly zenithled up to a whole lot of white (Liquitex white acrylic ink). No paint or washes yet. Super stoked with the results!

That base looks great! Love the pastel effects. I'll have to play with those a bit.
Thanks Gorb, You are a one man support team! If you decide to do this, check here: http://chestofcolors.com/how-to-pain...-dry-pigments/ .
I used Ak pigment fixer followed with VJ's matte sealer between each step.
