    I like the dragon bust.
And I like where you're going with the knight diorama.

Very nice work on the nmm. The placement of the highlights and shadows are spot on. Also the choice of cool aqua tones and the extreme contrast works very well indeed. Maybe the next stage to learn is the smooth transition between layers then you would have it down to pat! Here’s a link to an old tutorial I did on figurementors it might help https://figurementors.com/Guest%20tu...andy-gillaspy/

Also love the backdrop you did for Death Dealer I should have looked at your wip first before painting mine. How is that project going?

Thank you Andy. I'm familiar with that tutorial, perhaps my favorite, no kidding. I have printed it out even. i can't thank you enough for putting it out there for the world to use. It helped to "up" my skills in flesh and leather as well.
The Death Dealer is moving along at a snails pace but picking up some steam (other projects to move along). I haven't actually started the fig yet, but on the table to start cleaning tonight. Which companies DD is yours? Mine's an older one from Bronze Age Minis.

You’ve got a dizzying amount of projects on display in here, and they all look cool. Death Dealer is shaping up to be a great one. Really nice job with the background. And I love the green dragon.

It’s the Kabuki 35mm. I picked it up at SMC last year. It’s a lovely sculpt very true to the art of Franzetta. I found a link to a stateside shop that sells it https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/m.ali...858378421.html

Thanks for peeking in and commenting.
To add to the project list, I have made a base for my untamed beast champion. I don't play any of the games, but when I first saw this guy, I really liked him. I put him together a month or so ago, just to see what GW is about (this being my first). Played with some flesh, then he provided a test for leather. All the while I had no "vision" for him. I did feel like the desert base has been overdone with him. I like the idea of a jungle base (a la Wappel) and I have been trying my hand at more foliage, but no. Avoiding getting anything done the other day I was surfing the web and decided to check out the lore behind the untamed beasts. Ideas hit me, I bought a set of Iron Golems, pulled out an old Pegasus gothic building model and my dremel. A few twists and turns and here we are. Name: 2020-04-11 08.50.45.jpg

    Thanks Lost and Dex.
Well my muses are always on me in the wee hours. Just starting to paint skin on my Iron Golem victims for the untamed beast scene...Doh! needed to add some filler on each of the dead torsos. So that had to be put on hold to dry(I do have the ruins painted up though-mostly). Then, before I knew what my hands were doing, I had started another base! Going for a very Frazetta inspired scene, and very lush.

A bit further along. Gotta let the apoxie sculpt set up before adding further details. Perhaps I'll return to that skin paint, or maybe a nap.

I swear, sometimes the amount of research I need to do to get things done baffles me. I know more than I thought I'd ever need to know about rainforest ground, trees, fish, and blackwater environments. Now that I am armed all this useless info, this project is mostly on hold! I have the base done to my liking. Just waiting for some vegetation, etc. to be delivered. Some won't get here for three weeks or so. Overall this isn't so bad. I have to get to actall "painting" on this and other projects. I'm glad for this though, as I have been chiding myself for all the time I've been wasting during this "lockdown" situation.

I didn't want to add the wood at the bottom of the base, but the weight of the tree made it tip over without the additional base. I suppose it will be an opportunity to think of something clever to add!

Really nice work on the bases for these last two figures, I am really impressed with that tree (such great texturing on it) though!

Thanks Eki and Dex (high praise on the tree coming from you, I LOVE your tree work).
No painting yet today, however I did make a new paint rack, 420 dropper bottle capicity!

What did you use for the center part (was it already pre-drilled to the bottle size or did you drill out all those holes)?

Hey Eki. It's 1/8 " plywood (luan, I believe). Yep drilled 'em all. what a nightmare. 420 pilot holes ( I stacked the two pieces together). Then because my paddle bit would've ripped it up, I decided on a hole saw, oops, I don't have the right size mandrel! So I get out my 1" forstner bit, cleaner cut anyway. Problem was that it wouldn't cut through both layers so, each hole twice. More than half the holes then had to be dug out of the tool Yeah 1, 260 holes drilled out today! I never even counted till it was done. The size was determined by available desk space without considering capacity at all.
Well worth the time, getting more space with my paints more in reach will help me enjoy paint time more.

    That's a hell of a paint rack! I'm jealous.

Okay, I have patience (sometimes) but I don't think I have enough to drill that many holes for paints Really nice job on it though.

A rack for 420 paint dropper! That's very impressive. I could only fill the 7th part of it and thought I have many colours. Well I need to rethink that ^^
