Really interesting approach to the silver birch tree Dexter, some cool techniques and results on display here. Really good to see people scratch building.

I’m liking the look of your silver birch now it’s got some paint on it. The peeling bark is a nice touch and one that I may steal one day.

Holy cow! That is one amazing tree! Did you use real twigs for the small branches? If not, how did you make those???

Dexter, that looks fantastic mate! It is going to fit really well on the base, strewn with brown leaves as it is. I can't wait to see what else you come up with!

Some progress on the tree, I'm about half way I think...

And I starting to think about adding some more details to the ogres diorama.
And as I read the excellent tutorial by @SaintToad about how to make mushrooms... I decided to add some to my diorama.

    We'll see how it goes...

    No birch update today.
I'm still working on it, but i's time I post some update on the others projects I'm currently working on.

So without further adu, let's see it...

    The native american bust:

I finished the first step, which was painting the bust

And I started to add some tatoos and war paints (yes freehand stuff):

I still have a lot of work on it (some highlights, but especially the blanket), but I'm happy I finnaly try the freehand.

On the ogres' diorama now :

I currently working on a bunch of mushrooms (pictures soon), and I sealled the base for the resin to come (today if I have hte time).

This time I try to use the liquid mask I have. I have the feelling it could work nice as a sealing agent, and may be easy to remove afterward. We'll see if I'm right about it.

That diorama is beautiful! I just went back and looked at your earlier progress of it. A really nice build, I especially like the mosses hanging off the bridge arch area.

Really nice work on the bust and that diorama is looking great without the water right now so it will be over the top when you get the resin pour done!

Tons of exciting project coming together here. You’re really challenging yourself in many ways. Birch tree looks awesome! So glad you’re doing that!

Oh, and I’m glad you’re finding the mushroom tutorial helpful. That’s one I wanted to do for a while.

Looks great Dexter, the diorama is beautiful. Can't wait to see it with the water effects.
The bust looks great too, dig the freehand tattoos!
