Thanks Dexter! My vision is reaching a bit further than my skillset on this project, I fear.
But yeah, I'm also looking forward to slapping some color on this, just finishing up the bottom of the base.

Thanks mate, I am glad you like them! I'm excited to get them painted too!

Here is an update on the Aliens diorama. I'm really trying to go for that hive infested industrial setting.

    Oh boy!
This is unbelievably good. Well done.

Did you set your mind on a color scheme yet for the hive parts?

I kind of want to see lights on this. Flickering lights. It looks badass.

What no Alien egg with a face-hugger starting to come out of it? Seriously, holy cow this is awesome! I second the use of led lights

Thanks mate, makes me happy you like it!

I am thinking of coloring the hive parts with a dirty brown/bone color, and the installation structure more of a dark blue steel color.
The alien should be almost the same dark steel color.
The marine will be dressed in dark green standard body armor and fatigues.
And I want to light the scene from above using an amber light, and give the marine's shoulder lamp and flashlight more of a bluish white light, glinting off the melted steel grating in front of him.

There is one other thing I want to try, which is to add a recessed LED in the pipe behind the slats where the alien sits. The idea is to backlight the alien, which I think will be pretty hard to do with paint only.
    We'll see how it goes

But first, I need to prime this sucker. That's going to be fun!

Haha! like I said to Dexter, I am going to add an LED to this. Nothing flickering, although that would be rad.

    No egg, sorry.

Unless... unless you turn it around.

Its really coming together and I imagine this is going to look really creepy when you get some paint on it. I can't wait!

That is genius! are you going to use some real bones on the construction so it can stink like the original set

THAT looks like a solid plan for the colors. I can almost pictured it in my mind.

I'm lookinjg forward to see it.

I'm not sure about the light behind the alin though, it would cast to shadow right on top of the marine and give away the presence of the alien don't you think?

Thanks for the feedback Dexter, I'm glad you like the plan - now I just have to execute what I see with my mind's eye.
As for the LED, I figured why not, I'll give it a try. Worst case I just never switch it on, right?

Thank you Graishak, I appreciate it my friend!

So I took the black primer + white ink and had a blast (pun intended)

Here is the aliens diorama, with some different angles and detail shots:

    And here is biker girl
She will be a lot lighter in the final paint job, the black and white just make it look really stark, but I kinda like the way this photo came out.

Thanks for stopping by, and stay safe!!

The diorama looks already epic only in black and white. Well done.
The biker girl looks nice too.

This right here is magnificent work gorby -just incredible work on top of incredible work. Every piece you go above and beyond consistently pushing your boy boundaries !!! So awesome to be able to come to this thread and be part of what goes on. From your minds concept to your workbench and the projects you create.

Thanks Dexter & BaM! It's your encouragement that keeps me going

I've started painting the backdrop for the biker girl.
I figured I couldn't muck it up too badly, and can always go back and fix it. I think it looks like what I envisioned so far, just have to tidy it up:

The transition area looks oddly light in the photo, but that's because it is shiny. Once I cover it with some matte varnish the colors should look better.

Started adding some reflections to the bike.

Rough as guts right now, and the photo quality isn't great, but it illustrates where I want to be heading.
    Comment & critique welcome!
