Is it worth to use Brynden Tully on Stark Sworn Swords?

Hi guys!


As the title says, do you feel like it's worth to use Brynden Tully on Stark Sworn Swords instead of Tully Sworn Shields if there is a Shields unit in the list?
That combo would be +2 hit, + 2 die and critical blows at 6 if you start the turn engaged. But would the Shields unit miss Brynden?

Honestly, I think the Tully Sworn Shields can use Brynden a lot more than the Stark Sworn Swords. While he increases both units combat ability in a stuck in fight, the difference is that stuck in with their opponents is where the Tully Shields want to be, while the Stark Swords should be moving and charging when they can.

Of course I confess in my Stark Army, Brynden Tully leads one of my units of Umber Greataxes, two extra dice of Executioner's Fury is just delightful.

This really depends on your role for the Swords as i have found them really useful for doing a whole heap of things. From holding points to doing damage, they are our most versatile asset. With Brynden in them, you have some healing, improved leadership that can allow you to Stark Fury more often! You now prove to be a real pain if anyone even tries to come near that 10 inch radius.

Personally I've found that Tully(as the Commander) greatly improves Bolton Cutthroats. They are still squishy but his tactics cards and improved Moral, especially when paired with Eddard, make them quite formidable, despite their...issues. As far as Sworn Swords go, I mean it works...far better than Greatjon, but eventually, even with Eddard around, they will fall. If you take him as an attachment, sorry but you can make a better investment than Tully there, though he works well with Eddard as the commander so...you know, mull it over and try it.
