How's Everybody Holding Up?

Here in suburban New Jersey, we're now entering the third week of "stay-in-place." Have only gone out for groceries and semi-weekly takeout. Adopted a cat.

My teenage daughter is on Facetime about 75% of the time she's awake. Normally, I'd be keeping a close eye on that, but that's pretty much the only socializing she's able to do in real-time.

How fares everyone else in the Legion?

We are doing okay here in Virginia. My son’s school went right into on line classes. That has been rough. My wife and I work from home. I had a root canal last week. That was not fun.

I thought I might be able to game more, but working from home drains me and all I want to do is veg.

I can relate. I was already working from home most days, so that wasn't a big change for me. Thankfully, we've got enough space in the house that my wife, daughter, and I can all work (or study) in separate areas and not get in each other's way. But living in the country's hotspot is a bit unnerving. If we didn't have the internet, I believe our daughter would have likely gone mad by now.

We also adopted a cat.

Our house is an average size. We have a good size office which we all share. My son will sometimes work at the dining room table. My wife has a laptop and can move where ever she needs to. That is mainly when we both have call in meetings. I feel that my son would have also gone mad without the ability to connect with fiends over the internet.

cat adoption is cool. My 2 cats have enjoyed us being home. The Virginia governor has told us to shelter from home until June 10.

Been doing alright. I don't mind staying in and playing video games, reading books, and watching shows/videos lol. Some things I do miss, like...real life board gaming! Digital ones have been ok. But it's just not the same. I live alone w/ my cat, but I satiate social needs via online chatting a lot. And I still go out to get groceries and walk around my neighborhood to sorta scratch those social itches.

Not to make light of a horrible situation but I have rather enjoyed having some free time, it was such a rare commodity before! I'd probably have never rediscovered mini painting and found my way back here if it wasn't for this lockdown.

Genryu, Hi We’re almost neighbours, I’m in Bolton.

Managing the lockdown OK, looking after my dad who I brought down to be with us is taking up a lot of time (you think keeping kids occupied and out of trouble is hard, try an 87 year old with balance problems...Oi Vey.)
Still we’re all safe managing to get out for a walk daily, only problem has been the consumption of “Survival Liquid” and running out of suitable evening viewing.
Done “Hunger games’, all 9275 “Fast and Furious” , The last three Star Wars, the complete series 1 and most of series 2 of “The Rookie”.

Its good that you have managed to keep some routine, it is something I am certainly lacking at the minute.

Here in Venezuela things are ok about Covid 19, people was in quarantine long before the covid 19 because socialism and tyranny. We are now without gas and light (like 8 to 10 hours a day) so people are playing more games and sharing pictures. I made some ONLINE and live demos to keep people cheering up! but the internet has been a mess without DIRECT TV and lots of more people looking at netflix.
