Default Where to find unarmed/unarmored skeletons

I hope this is the right forum for this, it seemed to be.

I'm looking for metal skeletons for a base project for the Cryx Deathjack I'm working on - they must be unarmored with no weapons or shields. I need to be able to pose them, so resin and a lot of the plastics aren't really ideal...metal would be preferred. I found some on eBob miniatures website, but when they arrived, they turned out to be a bit small - probably meant for 25mm scale instead of the more 'heroic' scale that most minis use now. They were (other than the size issue) otherwise ideal for what I needed - easily bendable skeletons with no accoutrements.

I ordered some of the Human Skeletons from Secret Weapon Miniatures recently (haven't arrived yet) which might work for me, but they don't look like they have feet/hands which I'd need to sculpt...not super ideal, but I could probably do something with them.

I guess my question is: does anyone know of other sources that might have what I'm looking for?

*EDIT* I think, since I did post this in the sculpting forum, that I am going to attempt to sculpt one of the skeletons to see how I do. I've never really done much sculpting with greenstuff except the occasional small detail on a mini - certainly not an entire miniature so this will be an experiment for me.

    Thanks!
    - Bill

I just realized this IS the wrong forum for this...I meant to post in Painting & Conversions. Is there a way to move this please?

sorry, I don't know any shops, but is the following alternative possible for you?:
    - take some 3d skeleton and create the poses you want in a free 3d editor (if the bones are correctly set up it shouldn't be too hard)
    - 3d print it with some SLA printer (anycubic photon and co) <-- this is the critical part if you don't have a 3d printer or you don't know anyone near you who has.
    - add them to the base as intended
    Forgot, that it works again.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to a 3D printer. It would definitely be a good way to go if I did though.

So here's the start of my sculpting. I used a skull from the Citadel Skulls box so I didn't have to worry about sculpting that from scratch - the 'screaming' open mouth would probably have driven me crazy! This is really my first attempt at sculpting, I mean I've done some work with greenstuff on some of my miniatures, and at one point I created a very amateurish sculpt of a shrieker mushroom for my D&D campaign but it was pretty horrid - plus that was about 10 years ago and my skills have vastly improved since then (I hope!)

And adding the wire for the arms...

Ribcage is done...I'm not 100% satisfied with it, but it will work. This is actually attempt #2, the first one I had to remove and start over as it wasn't working out very well and it got at to a point where starting over seemed easier than trying to work with what was on the armature.

May be a little late but look at company Warlord Games (their Skeleton Warriors set here: https://store.warlordgames.com/produ...leton-warriors). It still might be too small as I believe it is 28mm and not Heroic scale, but I believe all the weapons are detached so you could have just plain skeles

Thanks! I couldn't find any size comparisons online that were useful, but the box set of 24 is cheap enough that I might purchase one to check them out.

I haven't given up on sculpting them yet, and I'm also experimenting with some models in Blender to see if I can 3D print them in (clear) resin for a more 'ghostly' look. I've had some family stuff going on rather unexpectedly these last two weeks though so I've not been able to get any hobby time in. I'll update the thread once I've made some more progress - hopefully in about a week.
