Poor fellows champion

This is a question that may of already been answered but I cant seem to find it.
Can The champion of the faith attachment be used even if the unit of poor fellows or warrior sons are at full wounds, just so they make a moral test to gain a faith token?
My thinking is yes as its the attachment ability but it was pointed out that the qounds can't be restored so the ability cant be used..
Can someone clarify this for me please?

There is no restriction on using the Ability.

Even if you pass/fail, you don't even have to restore Wounds, as the text says "you may".
