    Default Gemini's WIP

So having just returned to mini painting/modeling I'm starting to get into the swing of things. That being said I now have to wear reading glasses so that has required some adjustment.
I finished this Wight off the other day...

Thanks! I will admit, since having to start wearing reading glasses (damn old age!), it has been extra challenging.

That looks super clean and smooth.
Where minis are concerned, I think I'm legally blind I wear magnifiers all the time.

Don't feel so bad, I use an Optivisor as my reading vision is so shot that even the reading glasses that work for me don't help with painting minis.

Almost there. Shield, base and picking out that weapon handle to go. I'm quite pleased how it's gone being as it's my first full mini in a couple of years.

Really nice work Gemini. I like the white armor with the blue cloth bits

Thanks. As it's my day off work I'm up nice and early so I can get stuff done and not waste my day, so I'll have him finished today and will start on a new project.

Thanks, really appreciate it. As per though there's always elements I'm not entirely happy with, but improvements to made with each new mini. Now to pick something else to paint!

And I've just noticed my gallery entries have been approved. Cool

You published a big set, just took a look :-) My favourite, so far, is the sekelton unit.

And you're totally right - the more minis you paint, the more you will improve. Keep going!

One question related to the undead hero: Are you going to remove the classic base and put him onto the round one?

Thanks very much! Yeah I always liked the skeleton regiment. The idea behind it was the dead would rise as the reaper moved across the graveyard. It was sat in a Games Workshop cab at the the local store I used to work at many years ago. My undead army always grabbed a bit of attention, which was nice.

Do you mean the Wight King? Yep, I've plans to do a much more extravagant base, but having just moved home again this year there's a stuff I need to unpack or re-order, like larger bases.

I've been painting on and off for years, but the gaps in between are huge. Life always gets in the way! lol

*edit* Wow. Just had a look at your gallery, some fantastic work in there. Your Great Unclean One is marvellous.

Bit more work on the marine. It's not a great cast, nevertheless it's heading in the right direction for what I'm aiming. Found a load of my Citadel paints from the late 80's early 90's. Was amazed that most were still fine! I'm using "Sulphur Desert Yellow" as a build up for the brunt of his armour.

I gotta be mad painting a yellow space marine!

*edit* Cleaned up the highlights on the main armour just a touch this evening on my return home from work, (comparison pic below). But it's been a hard day at the hospital so I'm going to get nicely drunk while listening to some tunes. I've some new brushes arriving tomorrow, (which I needed anyway), so will resume painting tomorrow.
