I\'m doing Painting Demos at Gamecon 09 Sat/Sun this weekend so it depends on if I spend anything there.
i saw you were doing a demo spot i did intend to go but the trader list does nothing for me so i am saving the pennys for leeds :D.
good luck with the demos anyway mike i just hope the crowds turn up
Well I'm definitley going.
Might not spend the whole day there, probably get there about 11.

will see you there mike most likely be getting there around same time. going to a medal fair in wakefeild first. i will say hello if i see you
Well obviously didn't bump into each other, but did meet up with Deamonherald & Darklord for a quick chat.
I have to say that it seems as if the financial crisis has had a marked impact on the hobby as there were definitely a lot fewer traders there, as well as a lot fewer 'punters'.
Most noticably for me there was a dearth of Fantasy games/figures which was a dissapointment as I need to replace two Anima Tactics figures and was looking to increase the Privateer Press Hordes (pun intended).
However I was impressed by West Winds minis and bought a few Samurai (Hey, every painter should have at least one).
However I did find a new Trader with whom I was rather impressed OSHIRO model terrain Japanese Samurai era style housing and accessories. They do nice Paintbrush stands in clear perspex in a small (round) and Large (rectangular) as well as Painting stands.
The painting stands are not suitable for my hands , but will make excellent display stands.

i was there mike got there at around 11.30am but like you was not impressed with wat i saw did pick up some mimi's from the arthurian range at the westwind stand and some mini's from perry but other than that not impressed, HEY-HO will just have to wait untill next year now.
wasn't the best I've been to there but then again I was glad as I was skint and no hasslefree heresey or the privateer press guy that was cool for a change.. did manage to pick up a chaos rhino for a tenner from the forgeworld guys who were sneakily in the guise of warhammer historical so was happy with that...
Mike it was Kaine with me not Darklord .. as well as my little monkey on my shoulders...
I think yes there were a lot of guys with books and flames of war is taking over most shows these days but there were still some gems to be found in and among it...and some of the books would have been added straight to my pile but alas skint. As always came away with about 6 or 7 email addresses for guys I ain't seen for a while so always worth the five minute trip for me..
I wasn't sure If I had spotted you Mike but when I double checked you had moved hehe.
The hi light was meeting the frothers guys for me, the traders were a let down only one person carrying Vallejo model colour, no game colour or PP paints. No decent fantasy or sci fi miniatures like infinity ect it was mostly GW and the bog standard historical at army value cost.
I did pick up two forge world pigments for £5 which wasn't bad.
I would like to see a really good scratch built supplies trader like antenocitics eventually not someone carrying like 5 different types of rubbish over priced flock.

havent been for a number of years to the fiasco one, well not since the first one at the armories.
this one was quite a breath of fresh air for me,everyone was much friendlier than the last one i attended, the west wind stuff was "inspirational" after a few years in the wilderness.
But the highlight was bumping into demonherald(dont forget the figs pal) after a few years and getting the chance to chew the fat again.
its made me realise that the only thing holding me back is my self to be honest , so last night i built a spray booth to finally get that air brush out!
looking forward to the york one in feb(vapartak?), recon on dec 5th. ive even started saving to make the trip to euromilitaire(car share anyone?)
