Default A matter of taste

I am having difficulties deciding and I figured you guys might be able to help me.

I am planning on building me a Wolf Lord for my puppies; new book, new look.
He will have a runic armor since that is what leaves the best options for converting and other insane ideas that might pop up in my head.

Well, first things first. I need a base on which to begin and that is for the moment the mark of the chest piece, I have narrowed it down to three pieces that I like.

Here they are:

Which one do YOU think would be the coolest foundation and why?

Of course, if anyone has any other strange ideas, please do share, I think I am starting to get known for my sidetracking and changed plans anyway...

I'd go with eihter no. 2 or 3. Why, because tubes are cool!

No. 2 will have more options for ornamentation of the chest armour as it's got a biger surface, but no. 3 is cooler and more unusual.

Just been lurking around for a few years but now I shall speak out . . .

I personally like the mk 7b and the mk 4 armour. I'm not a tube fan (sorry Ritual) hence the mk 7b but I like the older armours too. For a wolf lord I think the older armour would be best.

Looks like the votes are 1,1,2 this far then.

Welcome out of the shadows CF!

Tubes are cool, but in semi-realistic terms, (I know it is a fantasy game with lots of odd bits), why would anyone put the plumbing outside of the armor? If the plumbing is important, keep it under the armor so that a stray frag or bullet does not puncture the hose unless it could puncture the armor.

I'd go with #1. Like was stated before, more area for decoration. Plus, #3 reminded me of a bra for some reason.

@ airhead: I've often asked myself this as well, strangely we have extreme amounts of bare tubings in military equipment today as well. One might have thought that they would be a wee bit wiser a few millennia into the future but noo...

Then again, I could always defend my naked tubings with my wall-sized shield or prolonged shovel pretending to be a sword. Hero-scale Is quite fun to mock, but it sure does look cool carrying a wall into combat. XD

@PegaZus: Damn you! "Once it has been seen, it cannot be unseen..." It still looks cool but now I can't stop thinking of bra's when I look at it!

Something just dawned on me... Why use Photobucket anymore? I have my own ways now!

Here, this should work:

I vote for number 2. I think it ties in well with the Wolf Lord theme.

Blimey, I hate drawing on the computer lol must acquire scanner at some point...

I like the way the 3rd one turns in, couldn't you make it a bit wolfier? Or is that what you mean by converting?

Cheers, B.

@Freak:Well, the mk4 (number three) is by far the oldest of the three

@BPI: Now THAT was what I meant with "Any other strange ideas" A relief wolf could become quite cool.

@Tercha: The reason I started this thread is because 1: I'm a bit low on ideas right now and hearing other people's ideas and opinions is what this forum is all about. and 2: I really can't decide what I want to do with the armor.

I will certainly sculpt a unique one, this thread is basically: "here's the starting ideas I have this far, anyone got anything they could contribute with?"
Maybe I will use one of the ideas you guys come up with or maybe you will help my cogs spin and I'll come up with something completely different. What I do know at the moment is that it will definitely not be a kitbash with some greenstuff on it.

Besides, It's really fun to hear what ideas others come up with around your own projects.

I am pretty sure you had some small idea pop up in your head when you thought that i should sculpt something unique, please, do share!
Right now it is a mere discussion and as such there are no bad nor too far fetched ideas.
