Space hulk bases

Hello everyone, another base from me (I'm really in the mood of painting bases lately) but since the link disappeared on the 'browse' gallery of CMON, though the link still works, I need some extra votes.

Hey Luna, I saw that you'd posted this pic in another thread but don't remember voting, I'll pay a visit.

My main thought last view was that the metal effects are very nicely painted but I think your Eclipse logo with its lighting effect is a big distraction. I want your painting to be the central focus, not a logo

I also prefer the darker background bottom right to the stark white upper left, it lets the top highlight on the base stand out more.

must get on and paint my tech deck bases for my termies... although are you fining it a right paint cutting off the integral bases?

Thank you, I'll take some better pictures and make the logo smaller. The reason I made it like that to make sure my pictures don't get 'stolen'. I'm on some other forums where things like that happen sometimes

well the space hulk termies are welded to their own crappy bases which have to be cut off before you can add them to nice detailed bases like yours. or are you using different terminator models?

@Freak: I don't have space hulk to be honest 0=)
Those bases could be used for anything but I found them very 'space hulky'-like.

Thanks for your comment Vike

The goop is actually wood glue (or PVA glue, almost identical) with mixed in Thraka Green. I dropped a drop of T. Green in it and without mixing it to a solid green I blopped it on the base.
After it was all dried up, I painted it with gloss varnish.
