This is my most recent piece completed, if there is ever anything that is completed. I find that I'm never fully satisfied with a "completed" paint job. I always want to add more. I was trying to keep to the less is more theory, but I don't think I buy that idea. Who knows I may decide to add more to this in the future.
Rating: - Thank you all for your emails and comments. I really enjoyed painting this set. I just wish that piece of junk I call a camera gave a fair representation of the paint job. There is a lot more of a purple tinge to Terezinya's skin tone that just doesn't appear in these photos and most of the blue shadows painted in on the familiar is lost as well. You can just makeout a hint of the blue in the left side view of the familiar. I am happy with the way the base turned out. I didn't want the base to blend in with the browns on her skirt so I left it darker than I would normally have done. Also lost in the shadows was the leg bone I had planned on giving more of a view to but ended up covering part of it behind the log. Oh well, it just seemed to need it so that's what I did. Anyways thanks again for the reponces.
Rating: 8 Congratulations on this piece of work. The painting is very good but what I like most is the base. The black rocks together with the dead leaves and grass offer a lot of contrast. Good idea!
