to avoid the globby, water down the paint a bit, and drybrush with a drier brush. You've got a tabletop mini there, nothing more or less. Your detail work (hazard stripes) looks pretty good for a beginner too. Nice base.
Very respectable. The paint looks a bit "globby" which is common with metallics, I find (and don't know how to solve myself). You might try drybrushing more to produce the weathering effects you're looking for, starting from a darker base color.
