This is the first mini I've painted in years. The macro on the camera shows every flaw. Is the 20/0 brush small enought to paint details for her eyes? The seal is Krylon Crystal Clear & I'm no longer useing it.
a few things for you to work on: hilighting and shading. blacklining is a good elementary technique that you can build upon. a touch of flesh wash (or and brown or black paint diluted in h20) around the eyes should help give them the definition they need.
good to have you back in the hoby
20/0 brush is plenty small for the eyes. I think this model shows all the ability needed for you to be a great painter, but I think there are a few techniques which might improve your overall effect. You can finish off this model with Testor's Dull Coat to pretty much eliminate the shine.
