Waywatcher

This is my main D&D character. I play him as a ranger and removed him from his Citdel base and onto a cardboard piece so that he could fit in with all my other Reaper minis that i use for D&D. I sometimes have a hard time finding lots of different browns to cope with the hair, the weapon, the belt, the boots and all the other accessories that some minis have.

you could try adding other colors into your darker browns to lighten them to get other colors: add yellow, white, tan, flesh, or even pink . . any of those will give it a disctinctive new shade. Also you can add black, dark blue (little bit)or even purple to your brown for your base coat. just make sure you lighten THAT very mix rather than mixing up a fresh batch. that way there'll be traces of those tones in all levels of your highlights.
