I agree with Antnol, more layers should help a lot;) or if You would like to start with easier highlighting, maybe use drybrush... Realy G00D as a first min!

Pretty neat! What you should do next is to try to start mixing more colours for highlights and shadows. Place the highlights on raised places and those facing the sky. Shade recesses and places facing the ground. The first and thing you can do is to make a very diluted wash a fine brush and shade the parts like the sepparation between different details. Like the leather belt from the green trouser. In that case you can mix a darker green or just use a darker shade of green if you have it. You could also use a dark brown wash to shade the leather especially the places like between the sole and shoe and on the bag. Shade the recesses between fingers and such as well. When you start to build up highlights keep it simple and use diluted paint (how much depends on the brand) You could either use a premixed colour (the easiest) and mix with the basecolour. Or you can add small quantities of white and yellow or another suitable light colour. GW Bleached bone is a nice colour to use for mixing highlights. Be consistent when you highlight so that parts more touched by light get more highlights. On this mini you should for example have highlighted the place where he holds onto the cloak more and been more consistent in highlighting and shading the folds and creases. This looks a bit patchy as someone else mentioned. Don't forget to clear up any mistake like where the green touches the blue cloak under his right arm. If this is your first mini ever I think youshould be very proud! Hope anything helps!

The paint looks patchy. Put more layers of paint on and your paint will look more clean. Looks like you got the basics down. Now start with layering or maybe blending. Great first mini.
