Black Templars Champion

Originally intended to be a replacement Emperor's Champion for my old Templar army, but with them gone, I figured I'd do something a little different with him in contrast to my old army. The model is, I suppose, suitable ase either a Champion or a Marshal/Castellan. The model is converted from the new Commander boxed set, an arm from the plastic marine bikers, and a scabard from the old Chaos Warrior command sprue. The freehand on the cape (inside and out) is from scratch, no reference. The mural on the back was done in about an hour and a half, the flourishes on the inside planned and painted in about 2 hours. The rest of the model took about 3 hours, and was really just a big experiment for me. Comments and criticisms are always welcome.

yo that is sick as hell. The only problems I find with it are that the checkers are not lined up very well and the highlights on parts of the mini (arm especially) are way to hard, as angelus said. of course, both are easy fixes. also, and this is just a matter of person preference, and most disagree with me here, but I've never been a fan of highlighted checkers, I think they'd work better if left solid. but man, that freehand is nuts
