Thanks for the tips Orion. It was also a bad photo, and the shading on the cloak (which you can't see) is quite nice. I have a slightly better strigoi which should be posted soon.

Nothing wrong with starting out--most of us probably looked like this at one time! I can't really tell, but it looks like you've just painted the straight metal without priming it first. That leads to the rubbed-off areas like the tail and other ridges as well as the streaky and clumpy appearance. If you did prime it, make sure you did it at about room temperature (not too cold). Look into things like shading, drybrushing, etc. to improve. A perfectly acceptable start. Remember that when you improve and look back at the first models and slap your forehead that all isn't lost--you can always strip them and do it over. Everyone has their choice, but I prefer soaking over night in Castrol Super Clean. Good luck, you'll improve!
