Tarrasque of Gaia

This creature was put together by my Fianceé, a budding sculptor. It began life as a coat hanger bent creatively and after nearly six months of work it came to be the beast of D&D legend. Most of the body was made using super sculpey, at a later stage much of this was replaced with green and brown epoxy putty for strength as it is intended as a game piece. The model is 7 inches tall and 14 inches in length placing it definitively in the Colossal size category (it barely fits on its 6" square base) This Tarrasque is a force of nature in my D&D campaign world, truly immortal. It typically sleeps under a massive oak named the Gaia tree. If nature is unbalanced to a degree where the tree should perish the Tarrasque is released to unleash its wrath upon the world, a true incarnate of the wanton predatory side of nature. Even Wishes are useless against this Tarrasque which can only be returned to its dormancy by planting a new Gaia tree over its body once subdued. Statistically it resembles the MM 3.5 Tarrasque save that its feats have been revised to incorporate material from myriad source books which gives it a substantial leg up the opposition. Nice sculpting job, and I particularly enjoyed hearing the story behind the creature and how it is used in your campaign world!
