Techmarine

This the one I painted for local competition. And it actually won sci-fi kategory, even though there was not many competitors, so it wasn't like GD. But I'm very happy about the outcome, but as usual there is allways something I would like to fix or do better afterward. Commets are appresiated. damn...had some problems with the pic. So I have put it again. Uploaded this time.

Very, very, very nice Armor...:)... Very nice Weathering, the only part, that can be better, is the freehand... definately, but nevertheless... good, good... 9 Points...

petey: Base color: about 1/3 GW Scorched brown+ 2/3 Vallejo Goblin green, and just a little Black. Then I just highlighted armour by adding gradually bleached bone to the base color. Final highlights are made with Skull white. Shading is done by adding black to the base color. I used couple layer, rather than just one and I kept this shading mix very thin. Finally when this was done, I made that rusted effect by using this method used by Allan C: http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/245 ...And my rust tends to be a bit reddish brown. You could also try some colors like Vallejo colors like Olive green or Medium olive if you don't want to try mixing similar base color.

Excelent Painjop! I like the rost on the NMM and the Freehand on the base. The Green Armor are a very nice paint...and good color choice
