Old black legion chaos dreadnought

Did this way back in the early 90's for a gaming Black Legion army (Slaves To Darkness). Black is pretty boring, so I jazzed the BL color scheme up to yellow and black, but at that point I hadn't learnt an effective way of highlighting black. The heavy gloss varnish was to prevent chipping during gaming. And yes, its a very boring base - no one knew or cared about staic grass and whatnots back then. A so so paint job?

Heh. But you did have rocks and stuff, right.You would be amazwed at what we found and added to bases; model train scenery, old tank models cut up and converted, heads from other minitures... I remember thats how we use to jazz up the bases. Those were the days. This is a really good job. I like the yellow and black.
