High Elf Mage (Alarielle the Everqueen)

A study in dark and light. I painted two female elf mages, this one and a dark elf. The aim in this figure was to make it light, a paragon of virtue. White robes are a hard subject for me so it was a challenge. Note the swirls on the tabard hanging from her waist. The jewels are mostly painted as pearls as I wanted to keep the bright colours to a minimum.

The golden parts dont look shiny, maybe she is just lazy at polishing? I also wondered why she has a huge rock under her armpit, before I realized it was her hair. She really should eat more, but that's not your fault:). I like the green jewel and the skin and the eyes.

8,5 if You ask me Fogey..:) The robe is really great, the skin is good, but.. Pearls look bit dull, and they don't stand out from the golden parts, also the hair look to bony in my taste.. But overall this is a great mini, I couldn't paint it that good most probably..
