I like it, and after looking at the base, I think it stands up because the treeman is very light, he appears to be make of wood. Correct me if I'm wrong. But there is a obviously metal dog at the base, and presumable that should counterwieght it. It gets a nice effect

That base is obviously a small black hole capable of distorting gravity around it enough to keep that treeman balanced at truly mind-bending angles! Or he is either a trained telecanethist or very good with wires and photoshop. Or its a trick of the camera and he's actually stuck it on a piece of glass and turned his garden to vertical????!
