Nilarakh the Evildoer - Champion of Mid-Nor
This was an interesting one for me as I was trying a new technique... the only things that were painted with paint are the canopic dolls, the metallics and his eyes. The rest was painted with inks over a white undercoat! I was really pleased with the results. There are also a few glossy areas on him which have been left deliberately - his oily leather face mask, his horns and the metals. His eyes were painted in gloss black and varnished - I like to have contrasting 'textures' on my miniatures and find that the mix of gloss and matt really adds to that effect. I painted my Mid-Nor for gaming and wanted to do them quickly - this guy took me about 4 hours of solid painting which is unknown for me! I painted 7 Mid-Nor in 2 weeks, which would normally take me 4 months!! Votes, comments, questions and criticism are all appreciated!
