clean paint. good color sense. Your shading is too harsh on the green. Thin the paints and work up to that highlight. Also, work on eyes (is that technical pen eyes?) Better than most tabletop around here.
I like this. The wood grain on the shield is especially nice. The flesh and blue armour plates appear a bit 'flat' and I personally feel may benefit from more exaggerated highlights and shading (may just be the photo, although the greens look fine...) Not quite an 8 from me but certainly a high 7. What scale is he in, he looks Dinky!
