The paint job looks good, bases are ok, but, yeah, they definately look like ogres. Also, the heads look more like horse heads than oxen or bull heads. I agree that they need fur, and also I would move the heads down furthur, they sit up too high. The gut plates and ironfists have to go also.
I think a little green stuff fur covering the shoulders and some of the back would really enhance the 'minotaur-ness' or them.. as it is they're kind of smooth and obviously ogreish. Ooh! Since belly plates are so distinctively Ogre, why don't you cut off the bellies and sculpt fur there? Of course, as you say, they do already "do the job"...
