Captain of Rohan

My first "real" attempt at doing a quality paint job since I started painting again after 9 years of not painting. This figure is one of GW's new "Two Towers" Rider of Rohan figures, with some slight conversions: Device filed off shield so I could paint my own; arrow through shield; a couple arrows and an Uruk-hai sword on the ground; added stirrups and repleaced solid reins with some made form epoxy putty. This figure just won a local painting contest (though admittedly the competition was light). Sorry for the not-so-good photo... I don't have a high-dollar digicam.

Very fine work! Do try to get the better pics up, but until then these will do. I can't tell from the pix but the only area I might suggest playing with in you next fig is ditressing some things. I sorta expect to see some color worn from the edge of the shield and such. However, the fig is really great, excellent choice and execution of the convertions, terrific detail, great basing! Thanks for showing us your work.

He looks quite good, especially the shield. The pic is really small though. It's difficult to see the details :(
