Valerioi, grey knight of the emperor's forest.

i still get giddy when i post somthing new. this guy is my latest addition to my terminator unit. i was inspired by a thred in the forums about painting gilded metallic armor. took forever, but i like it and i learned a few vauluable lessons, most importantly: when creating this effect paint hilights on the base layer before adding the freehand designs. obvious, i know. photographing this guy was a PAIN! so many reflective metallic surfaces that either he ws in shadow or so shiny you couldnt see anything. i settled on low light against a black background for the best effect. any suggestions on photographing minis that are mostly painted in metallics? thanks for looking, if you like this guy, take a look at the others.
