Angel of Death

This fig was a challenge from the moment I got it. There were soooo many mold lines to file, and areas where extra metal needed to be gouged out. Huge amount of time spent in prep work. The base is sculpy with sand and gravel. The effect I was going for was a greenish glow coming up from under the rocks he's standing on, which is reflected in the wings and other areas that light might strike, a greenish glow coming from the book in his hand, which is reflected in the areas facing it, and a flame-like glowing sword which throws a warm light over that side of his body and the ground. Yikes! I've never tried anything so ambitious. I had no idea how it would turn out. I feel like I still need some practice with the OSL technique, but other than that, I'm happy with how it turned out. I would love some comments about how I could improve my OSL.
