Malus Darkblade w/ Cold One Mount
This was the first mount figure I had painted and the first Cold One as well. I wanted a reptilian color that was not the same green as most of the cold one's I have seen before, so I went with a more moss like color for the body with bright green scales. I went for a more aged and worn look to the Cold One's helm. I was happy with how the sword came out but upon a second look the armor could have benefited from another was of red ink. Since I didn't want the cloak to blend into the cold one's scales I went with a more stone like scaled cloak. This was one of the better faces I have painted, it almost painted itself. This figure not only took 1st place in the "Transportation" category of Phoenix ConGames 2005 painting contest but was my first contest win.
