Slaanesh Champion

First of all please excuse the poor picture. If anyone can give me any tips on how to take a better picture I'll appreciate it. I have photoshop too?! This is a figure i painted a while back for my girlfriend, and entered into Conflict Northamptons Slayer Day Painting Contest, in which I got a silver. The picture simply doesn't do this figure justice I'm afraid. Just a simple parts swap, using the mounted champions helmet and shield. Cheers!

The most common thing everbody says is make sure lots of light, and the light wants to be diffuse and natural daylight. Conservatories are great on bright days if there is somewhere the light doesn't shine directly. That there wasn't enough light is indicated by that slight fuzzy patter in the background. With the computer ther is something you can do (I use Paint Shop 7). That background was probably white, so it looks like the camera has shifted the colours slightly. Hover over the background area with a dropper tool to find out what the RGB figure is... Since the R G and B values should be equal for white you can then apply a blanket adjustment across the picture. I did a R+15 and B+5 filter on the whole thing, which seemed to brighten it up a lot.
